LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A pickup truck caught fire Saturday evening just off Highway 77 in Lincoln.
The fire was reported about 5:30 p.m. on West Denton Road at the intersection with the highway.
A photo sent to Channel 8 shows the pickup engulfed in flames.
After the fire was put out, the pickup’s front end was heavily charred.
Multiple Lincoln Fire & Rescue units responded, along with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and the Lincoln Police Department.
Southbound Highway 77 was backed up, but traffic is now flowing smoothly.
It’s not yet known what sparked the fire or whether anyone was injured.
