T’storms possible Friday evening; Nice second half of weekend
Friday evening had a few thunderstorms, with some storms producing hail in central Nebraska. Late Friday night thunderstorms are decreasing in intesity and will become showers through the overnight. A few showers may linger in to Saturday morning.
Skies turn partly cloudy Saturday afternoon. Highs will be able to get back to the 50°s to near 60°.
Winds will pick-up during the afternoon, gusting to 30 mph. A few computer models suggest a line of showers developing by late afternoon/early evening, quickly moving southeast through the region. IF this happens, the line may produce a wind gust up to 40 mph.
Sunday looks fantastic. Sunny skies and highs in the middle 60°s.
Even warmer for Monday with highs in the middle to upper 70°s. However, winds will increase out of the south Monday, gusting 35-45 mph. Fire weather conditions may deteriorate through the day due to dry air and gusty winds.
Have a great weekend!
