Tuesday Evening Weather Update; October 6
Temperatures will remain much above normal for the rest of the week. Highs in the 80°s and lows in the 50°s. If my forecast verifies this will be the warmest October 7-10 in Lincoln in 73 years!
TONIGHT: Clear skies. Temperatures in the low 50°s. Lincoln Low Temperature: 52°
WEDNESDAY: Sunny skies. Temperatures in the mid 80°s. Lincoln High Temperature: 85°
REMARKABLE TUESDAY
Southeast Nebraska had an amazing run in temperatures Tuesday. Morning lows were in the lower to middle 40°s. Afternoon temperatures rose to the middle and upper 80°s. In both Lincoln and Grand Island the temperature spread – from morning low to afternoon high – was 44°! This goes in to books as the warmest October 6th in Lincoln in 13 years and ties for the 6th warmest in 133 years.
