Two arrested after fight in north Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two men were arrested Thursday night after a fight in north Lincoln, police say.

Around 6:45 p.m., officers responded to a possible stabbing near North 27th Street and Leighton Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Colin Haynes with a cut to his neck, according to police.

He told officers that a man, later identified as 42-year-old Ronald Stevens, attacked him with a pocketknife, police said.

Eventually, officers found Stevens, who said he had been fighting with Haynes.  Stevens had a cut on the back of his head that required treatment at a hospital.

During an investigation, officers found security video that showed the two men fighting each other.

Stevens was arrested on suspicion of terroristic threats and Haynes was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.
