Two arrested after fight with knife, flashlight in Grand Island, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two men were arrested Sunday after a fight involving a knife and a flashlight in Grand Island, police say.
Around 3:30 p.m., near Sixth and Walnut streets, John Awutiak attacked Joseph Chan with a flashlight, causing an injury to his head, police said
Chan then chased Awutiak and stabbed him in the legs multiple times, according to police. He had several stab wounds that required stitches.
Police said Awutiak and Chan were both arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
