LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people have been arrested after an investigation into several reports of sexual assault in Grand Island, police say.

On Friday around 11:20 a.m., officers received information regarding “multiple” sexual assaults.

In total, four victims provided information of sexual assaults dating back to July 2023, police said.

One of the victims was 11 years old at the time of the assault, according to police.  Some of the sexual assaults took place at the suspect’s business.

Officers later found the suspect, Terry Rawlings, and arrested him on suspicion of four counts of third-degree sexual assault and two counts of sexual assault of a child.

He was additionally charged on suspicion of child abuse.

Rawlings’ wife, Flora Gonzalez, was arrested a day later on suspicion of three counts of tampering.

Police said Gonzalez was told about multiple sexual assaults taking place at the business.  But she advised those victims not to contact police about the incidents.

Gonzales also threatened the victims with deportation, according to police.
