Two arrested after more than 700 grams of drugs were found in southeast Nebraska home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska State Patrol arrested two people Thursday after a drug investigation in Syracuse.

At 1 p.m., investigators performed a search warrant at a home near the public library as part of an ongoing investigation.

They found 186 grams of methamphetamine, 536 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a handgun, according to the patrol.

Troopers said they also found more methamphetamine while searching two people who had just left the home.

Kellie Bassinger, 30, and 41-year-old Brian Werner were lodged in the Otoe County Jail on suspicion of multiple charges.

The investigation remains ongoing.
