Two Beatrice elementary schools placed on lockout Wednesday

Two Beatrice elementary schools are back to normal operations after being placed on lockout mode Wednesday.
Lincoln Elementary and Paddock Elementary went into lockout mode as a precaution at the request of law enforcement, school administrators said.
Beatrice Police told Channel 8 Eyewitness News an officer was conducting a traffic stop with a man who has several warrants. The man took off, and was in the general area of a school, which prompted the lockouts.
A lockout means nobody is allowed in or out of the school, and teaching and learning continue as normal.
Nobody was injured.
Police say the man is still evading authorities, but they’re confident he’ll be found and arrested.
