Two dead after falling from wind turbine in northeast Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two men died Saturday after falling from a wind turbine in northeast Nebraska.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that they responded to the work-related fatalities just south of Winside, about 20 miles north of Norfolk.

According to the sheriff’s office, a turbine maintenance crew experienced equipment failure, resulting in the two men falling.

Eddy Noriega Sebinet, 46, and Raidel Justiz Noriega, 37, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is still under investigation.
