Two hospitalized after ambulance and car collide near downtown Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An ambulance and a car crashed near downtown Lincoln early Saturday, police say.
The crash was reported about 12:40 a.m. at 16th and E streets, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
LPD said a 29-year-old female was driving south on 16th Street when she turned left onto E Street.
As the vehicle was turning, it collided with the ambulance, according to LPD.
LPD said the ambulance wasn’t transporting anyone and it didn’t have its lights on.
Two of the three people in the ambulance were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. They were both firefighters, according to LPD.
The female driver was cited for having a suspended license and not signaling a turn.
