LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people were hospitalized Monday night after a crash in rural Cass County, the sheriff’s office says.

The crash happened around 7:50 p.m. at Highway 75 and Rock Bluff Road, just south of Plattsmouth.

The sheriff’s office said a Chevy Malibu was heading west when the driver failed to yield at the intersection and hit a northbound Ford Fusion.

Both vehicles stopped in the northbound lanes of Highway 75, blocking the road.

The drivers were taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Investigators think neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
