Two more cases of bird flu detected in Nebraska poultry flocks

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska Department of Agriculture reported two more cases of bird flu in poultry flocks on Wednesday.

Cases of the highly pathogenic avian influenza, also known as bird flu, were detected in backyard poultry flocks in Lancaster and Sarpy counties.

They are the fourth and fifth cases of bird flu in Nebraska this year.

Last week, bird flu was detected in poultry flocks in Nemaha and Dodge counties, according to the agriculture department.
