Two people punched in face while walking in Lincoln neighborhood, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested early Wednesday morning after he assaulted two people in a Lincoln neighborhood, police say.
Around 1:10 a.m., officers were sent to the area of 14th and A streets on a report of a man and woman knocking on doors.
When officers arrived, they spoke with a 40-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man.
The pair told officers that 41-year-old Brandon Heard assaulted them while walking near 17th and Washington streets.
Police said Heard punched both victims in the face before stomping on the woman’s chest.
Officers found Heard at his nearby home and took him into custody.
He was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and resisting arrest.
