Two pickup trucks crash at south Lincoln intersection

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded Tuesday morning to a two-vehicle crash at a south Lincoln intersection.

The crash happened around 9:50 a.m. at 27th Street and Old Cheney Road.

Two pickup trucks were involved in the crash, both sustaining serious damage, according to a Channel 8 reporter at the scene.

A video on the NOW Local News App shows one of the trucks with severe front-end damage.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Police said both drivers claimed they had a green traffic signal. There were no witnesses.

A part of the intersection was shut down as crews cleaned up the crash.
