Two semis crash on rural highway in northeast Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A crash involving two semis early Wednesday morning caused “havoc” on a rural Stanton County highway, the sheriff’s office says.
The crash happened around 9 a.m. near 562nd Avenue and Highway 275, just four miles east of Norfolk.
The sheriff’s office said a semi pulling a grain trailer turned onto Highway 275 into the path of a westbound bobtail semi.
The bobtail semi then hit the grain trailer, causing it to careen across the median and through eastbound traffic before ending up in a ditch.
The sheriff’s office said the crash left a “field of debris,” which caused traffic “havoc” for about two hours.
Neither driver was injured in the crash, but the bobtail semi is considered a total loss, according to the sheriff’s office.
