Two seriously injured in crash east of Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two people suffered serious injuries late Monday night in a crash east of Lincoln.

The two-vehicle crash happened just before midnight near 120th and O streets.

An eastbound minivan and a westbound SUV collided head-on, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

The drivers of the vehicles were taken to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.  Nobody else was in the cars.

Authorities are investigating whether alcohol or drugs were a factor.

The road was shut down for about two hours.
