Two teenagers escape juvie

LA VISTA, Neb. (KLKN) –  On November 8th, 2021 at approximately 11: 25 am, two teenage detainees at the Sarpy County Juvenile Justice Center escaped from the recreation area by scaling a fence.  A JJC employee witnessed the escape and proceeded to chase the two until they crossed a creek and it was no longer safe for the employee to continue the pursuit.

Five hours later, both teenagers, ages 14 and 15, were found hiding in a culvert.  Deputy Brad Victor was assisted by the Papillion Police Department, LaVista Police Department, Bellevue Police Department, the Nebraska State Patrol, and the Omaha Police Department Helicopter Unit Able-1 in finding the teenagers.

No personal or charge information will be released.
