Two-vehicle crash north of Lincoln sends five to hospital

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday responded to a two-vehicle crash north of Lincoln.
Just after 4:30 p.m., first responders were sent to the intersection of Highway 79 and North Agnew Road, five miles south of Valparaiso.
According to the sheriff’s office, a pickup was driving west on Agnew Road when it stopped at the stop sign at Highway 79.
The pickup proceeded to drive west when it collided with a minivan driving south on Highway 79, the sheriff’s office said.
Five people were sent to the hospital, including two individuals in critical, but stable, condition.
Highway 79 was closed at the intersection for a short time, but has since been reopened.
