Two wanted men caught with meth during Grand Island traffic stop, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two wanted men were arrested Thursday after a traffic stop in Grand Island, police say.

Around 10 p.m., a vehicle – driven by Jade Howard – was pulled over for failing to signal near 15th and Locust streets.

Officers learned that Howard’s driver’s license was suspended and revoked, according to police.

He also had an active arrest warrant in Hall County.

Officers searched Howard and found a bag containing 27 grams of meth, police said.

A passenger – Yeratain Perez Barrios – also had a warrant out for his arrest.

Police said a bag containing meth was found near where Barrios was sitting.  Howard had asked him to throw it out of the vehicle, according to police.

A digital scale and smaller “self-seal baggies” were also discovered in the vehicle, police said.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.
