Two women sexually assaulted while walking on Lincoln’s MoPac Trail, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a pair of sexual assaults on the MoPac Trail.
The first assault was reported on June 7 just after 6 p.m. between 56th Street and Cotner Boulevard.
Police said a man on a bicycle approached a 39-year-old woman, complimented her appearance and asked for her number.
The man acted like he was leaving but instead slapped the woman on the buttocks as he passed, according to police. He then returned and did it again.
The second assault was reported near 56th Street on Thursday around 10 a.m.
A 25-year-old woman was approached by a man on a bicycle, who complimented her appearance and asked for her number, police said.
The woman declined, and the man left. But he later returned and slapped her buttocks, according to police.
Police described the man as 20 to 29 years old, 5-foot-8 and about 160 pounds with short, black hair.
