Tyler Goodrich found, but more than 700 other Nebraskans remain missing
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – While one missing persons in Nebraska comes to an end, hundreds of others remain a mystery.
“When my sister disappeared, I looked for her every waking hour for six months,” Jannel Rap said.
She last saw her sister, Regina Bos, almost 25 years ago, Regina Bos. She went missing on Oct. 17, 2000, in Lincoln.
It’s one of the most high-profile unsolved cases in Nebraska.
“She was the big mouth of the family, willing to take risks,” Rap said. “She was an amazing human.”

Cases like these can get more attention when another missing persons case, like Tyler Goodrich’s, is solved.
In 2024, the Nebraska Missing Persons Clearinghouse webpage saw an average of 10,000 visits per month in 2024, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.
There was a spike in visitors in late November 2023, around the same time Goodrich vanished.

Officials said when there is an update in a case, it can bring people to their website.
“Missing Persons Clearinghouse probably gets visited the most when we have fresh information on the disappearance of someone or something,” Lt. Monty Lovelace said.

At any given time, around 750 people are in the clearinghouse, including Bos.
“When I hear remains have been discovered in Lincoln, it always crosses my mind,” Rap said. “Even when a body is discovered in another state, it always crosses my mind.”
As of last year, Oct. 17 is Nebraska Missing Persons Day in honor of Bos.
