Tyler Goodrich’s family hosting event to thank community for support

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — It’s been 3½ months since Tyler Goodrich disappeared, and his family wants to thank the community for its support.

The Goodriches, together with The Chocolate Season, will host an event this weekend called For the Love of Tyler.

They will offer $1 off a waffle, one of Tyler’s favorite foods, as well as $1 off any drink.

“It’s a thank-you from the family to all the support people have given us,” said Lonnie Goodrich, Tyler’s father. “It’s impossible to reach out to everybody, but this is one way we can connect with some of the people.”

The owner of The Chocolate Season said Tyler was not only a customer, but also a friend.

“He would sometimes run the trails out here,” Erika Jensen said. “He’ll come in for waffles, he’ll come here with his family. We loved seeing him here, and he was just an avid online supporter of our store.”

Lonnie said community support is vital for his family.
