Unborn child dies after Lincoln crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An unborn baby was killed Friday afternoon in a crash in Lincoln.

The crash happened about 2:30 p.m. at 16th and E streets, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Police said two cars collided in the intersection.

A pregnant passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to a hospital.

Doctors performed an emergency delivery, but the baby was pronounced dead shortly after.

Police have not said to what extent anyone else was injured.

Officers were still on scene investigating at 6:30 p.m.
