Uneventful weather on Monday; Becoming more eventful this week
The weather will remain fairly unexciting on Monday. A mix of sun and clouds is expected, and high temperatures will be near normal for this time of year. We expect a high near 57° in Lincoln.
While we see plenty of sunshine on Monday, clouds will increase once again on Monday night. A persistent layer of low clouds will develop by Tuesday morning. This will help keep temperatures on the milder side overnight Monday.
These clouds continue to be persistent on Tuesday afternoon. Some spotty showers may come out of these clouds, and a rumble of thunder or two can’t be ruled out. That said, we’re not looking at a lot of widespread meaningful rainfall from these.
Temperatures will warm for the next several days. In fact, Lincoln may shatter a record-high temperature on Wednesday.
However, big changes are on the way late this week and this weekend. A strong cold front passage on Thursday night will send lows into the teens this weekend, with highs in the 30s.
