UNL opening late Thursday due to cold

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The University of Nebraska-Lincoln won’t hold early morning in-person classes on Thursday amid dangerous cold temperatures.
UNL will open at 11 a.m.
The university said on social media that only essential employees should go to campus before 11 a.m.
Students should check their UNL email or the Canvas education platform for instructions from their professors.

The Storm Alert Team said the wind chill could be 25 to 35 degrees below zero Thursday morning.
Some students have called on the university to cancel class, saying it’s not safe to walk across campus in such extreme temperatures.
