LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The University of Nebraska State Museum at Morrill Hall is raising ticket prices starting on Tuesday.

In a Facebook post, the museum said the price change is to “offset recent economic impacts.”

The university said those economic impacts include price increases for building supplies and materials for exhibits, supplies for summer camps and wholesale prices for gift shop items.

Tickets for ages 12 and up have increased by 50 cents.  They’ll now cost $13.

For children from ages 3 to 11, tickets cost $7.50, a 75-cent increase.

Morrill Hall is maintaining its $1 rate for its Museums for All program.

The museum also works with multiple organizations to provide free passes, the university said.  Within the last year, UNL provided over 1,500 free passes.

Children under the age of three and active-duty military personnel and their families can still get into the museum for free during the summer.
