UNL’s University Singers will perform at Trump’s inauguration

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Vocalists from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will be lending their talents at the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.

Sen. Deb Fischer of Nebraska announced Wednesday that the University Singers will perform during the ceremony on Jan. 20.

“These incredibly talented students are not only representing our university, but also showcasing the spirit and excellence of Nebraska to the entire country,” Fischer, who is on the inauguration organizing committee, said in a press release. “Their performance will be a proud moment for all Nebraskans, and I’m confident they will leave a lasting impression on the millions of Americans watching the ceremony.”

UNL Chancellor Rodney Bennett called the students are proud to represent Nebraska at the inauguration.

“This is an incredible opportunity for University of Nebraska-Lincoln choral students to showcase their significant talent to the country,” he said.

Fischer will be introducing Trump before he is sworn in.
