UPDATE: Lincoln Police arrested 21-year-old Tiffany Welch in connection with Monday’s homicide.
They say she lured James Carr to the address near North 20th and Holdrege Streets, where Matthew Pavey was waiting with a gun.
Welch has been arrested for accessory to murder.

UPDATE: Lincoln Police have released the name of the victim of the first homicide of the year.
James William Carr, 28 of Lincoln was shot to death in an alley near North 20th & Holdrege Streets.
Police have arrested Matthew Pavey of Lincoln in connection with the investigation.
21-year-old Tiffany Welch of Lincoln was arrested Tuesday for being an accessory to murder.

UPDATE: Lincoln Police were called to the area near North 20th and Holdrege around 11:30 Monday morning. They found a man shot to death in an alley behind a duplex, just east of the UNL downtown campus.
When officers arrived they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Police say his death was a homicide.
Lincoln Police canvassed the area, searching for suspects. About three hours later, near 11th and Van Dorn, the took a man and woman into custody for questioning.
Police have not released the victim’s identity.

Lincoln Police and UNL Police have confirmed a shooting near North 20th and Holdrege. Lincoln Police and emergency crews are responding to a report of shots fired. The area is blocked off and only residents are being allowed in. Avoid the area.
Lincoln Police are currently investigating a man shot to death in the alley behind the house.
Police say they do not have a suspect, but the shooting does not appear to be random. They say there is no threat to the public.
