The fire happened near Woodhaven Dr & Claire Ave.
Just before 2:00 a.m. the smoke detector inside the house went off.
Thankfully the daughter of the homeowner heard the noise and woke up her family and their dog. They then called Lincoln Fire and Rescue after getting outside. That’s when they saw their garage up in flames and smoke was entering their house from the second floor. Although fire fighters quickly arrived… The fire did a significant amount of damage to the home.
As of now there is not a cause of what started the fire and how long the family will live without a home.
The total estimated damage is at least $170,000
