UPDATE: Hastings street superintendent pleads in Lincoln Uber driver assault case

Hastings’ street superintendent has pleaded to lesser charges after being accused of assaulting an Uber driver in Lincoln.
Lincoln Police said Steven Kostner, 36, wrapped a seatbelt around the driver’s neck and held a pocket knife to his face in March.
The driver told police Kostner thought he was flirting with his wife.
Kostner pleaded no contest to third-degree assault Thursday in Lancaster County Court, after originally being charged with terroristic threats.
Sentencing for Kostner is scheduled for March 14.
