UPDATE: Hy-Vee robbery suspect arrested

UPDATE:
The suspect accused of robbing a Hy-Vee pharmacy near 70th and Pioneers Blvd. has been arrested. 

Police say 24-year-old Corey Jacox called 911 around 5:00 pm for a medical emergency near 63rd and Yankee Hill Rd. 

When crews responded they became suspicious of comments made by Jacox. 

Police were called to the scene to investigate where they found evidence related to the robbery. 


Lincoln police say someone got away with a stash of drugs from a Hy–Vee pharmacy Wednesday afternoon.

They say around 12:30 p.m. a white man wearing dark sunglasses walked into the Hy-Vee near 70th St. and Pioneers Blvd. and slid a note to the pharmacist demanding various medications.

They say once he got what he wanted, the suspect ran away.

"No weapon was displayed, no injuries were reported," Ofc. Angela Sands says.  "Officers are still on scene, searching for him.  They’re also checking for any video surveillance in the area that may have captured him leaving or coming to the scene."

No word yet on what drugs the robber stole or the estimated value.

The last time Channel 8 spoke to police, he has still not been found.


Lincoln Police are responding to a robbery at a Hy-Vee pharmacy in Southeast Lincoln. 

It happened just before 1:00 p.m. near 71st and Pioneers Boulevard. 

No weapons used or injuries reported.

The suspect got away with medications.
