Utility work will close parts of 56th Street in Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The city announced Friday that several sections of 56th Street will close next week.
The Lincoln Electric System will be doing utility work, according to the Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department.
On Sunday, the intersection of 56th and Pioneers Boulevard will be shut down from 3 to 9 p.m.
The city will then close part of 56th each of the four next days:
- Monday: 56th between A and South streets
- Tuesday: A southbound lane of 56th between South and Van Dorn streets
- Wednesday: A southbound lane of 56th between Van Dorn and Pioneers
- Thursday: A southbound lane of 56th between Pioneers and Elkcrest Drive
The closures will start at 8 a.m. and end when the work is done.
