Valentine man arrested for murder
Kevin Kilmer has been arrested for first-degree murder
VALENTINE, Neb. (KLKN) -A Valentine man has been arrested for murder after an investigation in Cherry County.
On Tuesday morning, law enforcement asked for the public’s help in finding 25-year-old Kevin Kilmer and 52-year-old Ruth Wittmus, who were believed to be involved in a disturbance in the town of Kilgore. That afternoon, troopers found Kilmer hiding in a wooded area. Later that day, officers found Wittmus deceased.
After continued investigation, Kilmer has been arrested for first-degree murder and the use of a weapon to commit a felony. He’s currently in the Cherry County Jail as the investigation remains ongoing.
