Vandal caused $10,000 in damage using excavator at Grand Island mall, police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are searching for the person who caused over $10,000 in damage to a mall in Grand Island.
Around 7:15 a.m. Friday, an officer responded to Conestoga Mall near Highway 281 and 13th Street on a report of criminal mischief.
The caller reported that a person entered a construction site at the mall overnight and took control of an excavator.
Police said the person used the excavator to damage a wall.
An investigation is ongoing.
