Variety of drugs, cash, assault rifles seized in drug busts, officials say

Authorities arrested two people and seized a large amount of drugs, cash and weapons in a pair of drug busts Monday afternoon. 

 

The first bust, at 339 Fletcher Ave., was carried out by the Lincoln Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force happened around 3:35 p.m.

 

Inside, the task force reportedly found 108 grams of cocaine, 15.6 ounces of marijuana, $2,569 in cash, an automatic pistol and an AK-47. 

 

Authorities arrested 23-year-old Majdal Elias on several drug and firearm charges. 

 

The second bust came about an hour later at 6140 Luann Lane, near 56th and Rokeby Rd., where the task force reportedly found 25,145 grams (roughly 54 pounds) of marijuana, 400 THC vape cartridges, 252 THC wax concentrate packages, $31,790 in cash, an AK-47, an AR-15, and a 9mm handgun. 

 

The estimated value of the drugs to be approximately $320,000. 

 

Officials are still investigating whether the busts may be related.
