Vehicle backed up into Lincoln smoke shop during break-in attempt, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating after a vehicle hit a Lincoln smoke shop Wednesday morning.

Around 6 a.m., officers responded to a break-in at Cloud 9 Smoke Shop near 48th Street and Old Cheney Road.

The store’s front window and wall were damaged.

Security video showed a red Jeep Patriot backing up into the building several times.  But it was unable to get inside the building.

The store had around $11,000 in damage.

Police said the Jeep appears to be the same vehicle involved in a burglary at Hemp Boss on Jan. 16.

The vehicle has damage to the rear bumper and a broken driver’s side taillight.
