Vehicle crashes into Cracker Barrel in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — No one was injured Wednesday when a vehicle crashed into a Lincoln restaurant, police say.

It happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. at Cracker Barrel on 27th Street near Interstate 80.

Police said a driver was backing out of a parking stall and sped up to avoid an oncoming vehicle.

But she pressed on the gas pedal too hard, according to the Lincoln Police Department, driving over the curb and hitting the building.

Videos posted on the NOW Local News App show an area near the entrance to the restaurant taped off.

The wall is damaged, but the vehicle did not break through.

It’s not the first time a vehicle has damaged that Cracker Barrel.

In June, a minivan hit the side of the building.
