Vehicle crashes into living room of northwest Lincoln home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An SUV crashed into a house in northwest Lincoln late on Christmas Eve.
It happened shortly after 10 p.m. near 56th and Fremont streets.
The vehicle was going south on Ervin Street and failed to turn on Benton Street, police said, instead going straight into the house.
The vehicle went all the way inside the living room, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
Police told a Channel 8 reporter that two people were in the vehicle and multiple people were in the house — including one in the living room.
But no one was injured.
Police said they are investigating whether alcohol was involved.
The amount of damage to the building is not yet known.
