Vehicle rolls over near Nebraska State Penitentiary in south Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The driver involved in a rollover crash Saturday morning was not seriously injured, authorities say.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue was called at about 10:30 a.m. to respond to a Jeep that had left the road and rolled over near 14th Street and Center Park Road.
It is likely the driver had just crossed the bridge on 14th Street, where the winter weather conditions made the road slick, Battalion Chief Aaron Pospisil said.
He said the driver was able to get out of the car on their own after LFR was able to stabilize the vehicle. Extrication tools were not required.
Emergency responders were evaluating the driver’s condition to determine if medical attention is required.
Traffic was slowed on 14th Street while responders dealt with the crash, but they did not fully close the street.
