Very pleasant Sunday; change comes next week

After a windy one on Saturday with temperatures in the 60s for many, those winds will work on winding down into the evening. Gusts will only be around 10-15 mph late tonight into tomorrow morning.

Wind Tonight

The best day of the weekend will be Sunday because we get the warmth without the wind! Winds will be out of the west around 5-15 for a very pleasant afternoon. Get outside and enjoy this because change comes by late Tuesday into Wednesday next week.

Wind Sun

Highs on Sunday will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s for southeast Nebraska. Talk about a top-10 day for February standards! Highly recommend to a friend.

Dma Tomorrow High

Here’s the aforementioned change that we’re looking into heading into the middle of next week. We are very warm on Monday with highs ending up in the upper 70s!

Tuesday will act as a buffer day where western Nebraska will see some light mix/snow start by the morning, but we won’t see much until Tuesday night. It’ll become very windy as a cold front approaches. Then some very light snow transitioning into early Wednesday is possible.

3day Lincoln Forecast

The latest version of a longer-range model as seen on Stormcast shows a system swinging by well to the north. It’ll be north enough that with a strong cold front behind it, much colder air will be ushered in Tuesday night into Wednesday. We’re looking at a chance for light mixed precipitation to start Tuesday night and then transition to snow into Wednesday.

As of now, very minor accumulations are possible but very strong winds accompany this event. We’ll be much colder for about a day before warming right back up.
