Very warm day, but less humidity now
Lincoln has yet to see its first 90-degree day of 2024. We’ll likely come very close once again on Wednesday, like we did in mid-April.
The 30-year average has our typical first day at 90° around May 8th. We are way past that – but we probably won’t be the latest we’ve ever seen that temperature either (June 29th in 1903).
Although 90 isn’t quite in the forecast for Lincoln, there are some locations that certainly may hit that mark by this afternoon.
Just be sure that as you spend more time outdoors, sunscreen is important! We’ll see a UV index up to 10 this afternoon that would give the opportunity to burn your skin in as little as 15 minutes.
There will be a weak cold front passing by this evening but only a slight chance to see a spot shower and gusty winds as that happens. Most will miss out.
It will cool us slightly into Thursday. Should be several days ahead in which the pool would be a great idea!
A much quieter stretch of weather is upon us, leading into most of next week.
