Very windy end to the weekend

Some thunderstorms last night, then rain off and on through early Saturday evening. Reports of rainfall for now include last night’s rain through 7 a.m. Saturday. Over a quarter of an inch seen throughout Lincoln, with a lot higher amounts just to our east! Over 2″ fell near Palmyra and Louisville: some much-needed rain!

Rain Amts Thru 7am Sat

Mostly cloudy conditions will continue overnight, and a strong breeze out of the northwest remains. Compared to the last two nights, it’ll be a cooler one for sure. Friday morning, lows in the 60s. Saturday morning, lows in the lower 40s. But heading into Sunday, lows will be nearing the middle and lower 30s with strong winds that’ll make it feel a lot colder.

Then, clouds break apart and we see a lot more sunshine for the last half of the weekend. With that, temperatures will warm to the upper 50s and lower 60s before all is said and done.

Jess Tomorrow Hour By Hour

Speaking of those winds, gusts will be as high as 40-45 mph throughout the rest of the weekend. It’ll be a day to hold on to your hats and any outside decorations! Specifically in the late morning and early afternoon, northwest winds will be at their strongest.

Lincoln Tomorrow Wind Gusts

Past Sunday, we continue a dry stretch that will continue to warm back to near 80° by the middle next week. And with that, more storm chances before the Husker Spring Game.
