Vice presidential candidate Tim Walz attending weekend rally in Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska native and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz is attending a rally Saturday in Omaha.

Walz grew up in Nebraska, graduating high school in Butte before joining the Nebraska National Guard.

He earned a degree at Chadron State College and taught social studies in Alliance.

Earlier this week, Walz made his first solo campaign appearance during an event in Los Angeles at the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees International Convention.
