Vigil to be held for Lincoln crash victim

A vigil will be held to remember the life of 23-year-old Jared Williams who died in a Lincoln car crash Friday afternoon.
On Friday, Lincoln Police Officers responded to O Street and Lyncrest Drive on a report of four vehicles involved in the collision.
The initial investigation has determined that a westbound Mercedes crossed into the eastbound lanes of traffic where a collision occurred between it and three
other vehicles that were stopped in the two eastbound lanes waiting to turn northbound. Wiliams, the passenger in the Mercedes, was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries and later was pronounced deceased. The crash is still under investigation.
According to a friend of Jared’s, a vigil is to be held for him near the car accident spot on O Street Sunday night at 7:30 pm.
A Go-Fund-Me has been set up Williams final expenses. Those wishing to help the family can donate here.
