OMAHA, Neb. (KLKN) – Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium has opened up timeslots to visit their two baby elephants.

Visitors can reserve a 15-minute time period to visit the elephant family quarters at no additional cost.

The babies, Sonny and Eugenia, were born in January, and both weigh around 200 pounds already.  They were the first African elephant calves born at the zoo.

According to KMTV, the mammal curator said they now feel comfortable with the calves weight and acclimation to their environment.

The tickets can only be purchased one day in advance and they become available at noon daily.  There are times available from 10:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
