Walmart transforming 160 store parking lots into drive-in movie theaters

Walmart announced it will be turning 160 of its store parking lots into drive-in movie theaters where customers can watch movies.

The company says the events will be contact-free and safe for families.

Beginning in August, Walmart will begin rolling out the drive-ins across the country for a combined 320 showings.

The movie nights will include special appearances from filmmakers and celebrities, as well as concessions delivered to customer vehicles.

Walmart’s drive-in tour will run through October. Additional details will be announced closer to the start of the tour.
