Wanted man caught after traffic violation on bicycle, Lincoln Police say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police say a traffic infraction escalated on Tuesday night when a man who already had an arrest warrant resisted officers.
Just before 7 p.m., a bicyclist made an illegal crossing at 27th and Randolph streets, according to the Lincoln Police Department.
Officers tried to stop him, but police said the man — 41-year-old Travis Hollowhorn — rode away.
He resisted arrest even as officers tried to shock him with a Taser, police said.
The first two tries with the Taser were unsuccessful, but Hollowhorn was hit the third time.
He was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest.
Hollowhorn had an outstanding warrant for criminal trespass, criminal mischief, obstructing a peace officer and failure to appear.
