LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A wanted woman was arrested Tuesday morning after a vehicle drove into a ditch in Grand Island, police say.

Around 1:30 a.m., officers stopped to help a vehicle that was stuck in a ditch near Garland Street and Highway 34.

Police said officers were trying to identify the occupants of the vehicle.

A passenger — Adriana Alcorta — gave a fake name to officers, according to police.

Officers later discovered Alcorta’s true identity and learned that she had three active arrest warrants in Hall County.

Police said officers found a “crystal substance,” which appeared to be meth, in Alcorta’s backpack.

She was arrested on suspicion of false reporting and possession of a controlled substance.
