LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – WarHorse Gaming is alerting the public to a recent series of advertisements promoting a fraudulent app falsely affiliated the WarHorse Casino in Lincoln and Omaha.

In a press release on Friday, the gaming company said numerous ads have been popping up on social media and other digital platforms promoting an app that looks legitimate.

WarHorse gaming said this app is in no way connected to the company or any of its affiliated properties.

“We take the trust of our guests and the integrity of our brand very seriously,” said Lance Morgan, CEO of WarHorse Gaming. “These fraudulent ads are deceptive, dangerous, and illegal. We want to make it absolutely clear that WarHorse is not involved in any form of online gaming. We urge everyone to avoid these scams and report any suspicious activity.”

Online gaming is not legal in the state of Nebraska. Any platform suggesting otherwise is misrepresenting the law and potentially putting users at risk.

WarHorse gaming said they are actively working with the various digital platforms to have these advertisements removed.
