2021 Klkn

Thursday morning near 6-7am, showers and thunderstorms will develop out west. By the afternoon hours near 2-4pm, storms will become more linear out near North Platte and McCook. The first storms that initiate could carry quarter to half dollar size hail. Storms will continue their linear formation while moving east through Thursday night. As we know, storms weaken when moving west to east overnight. This means Friday morning a few showers and thunderstorms will try and redevelop across eastern Nebraska and continue through the evening.

The severe weather risk for Friday is currently southeast of Nebraska. The line of storms will re-develop Friday afternoon and evening into parts of Iowa, Missouri and Kansas. A few counties in far SE Nebraska could get a few thunderstorms Friday evening depending on where the front sets up.

Stormcast With Temperature

Thursday morning, temperatures will be mild and above average across the state. Temperatures will only cool down into the upper 50s and lower 60s.

State Forecast Lows Tomorrow

High temperatures will vary from west to east, due to the cold front. Warmer temperatures in the 80s in eastern Nebraska and 60s and 70s out west.

There is a chance for a shower or two late Saturday evening in eastern Nebraska. Sunday, we get back to near average with sunny skies and a west breeze 5-15 mph.
